- Supporting health centres with essential resources such as motorbike ambulance for Wondogenet, cleaning material, surgical/obstetric items for all three health centres

Training

- CME workshop for the midwives
- CME for the anaesthetic nurses
- Supporting Hawassa University for the MSc course in Emergency surgery and obstetrics for the health officers and in other training programmes

Monitoring and evaluation

- Supporting link coordinators and health centre staff in ongoing monitoring and evaluation
- Developing a project for comparison of outcome of exemplar health centres with similarly placed unsupported health centres

Benefit to Wales

- Evaluate the impact of working in Ethiopia on healthcare professionals in Wales and their subsequent contribution to healthcare delivery in Wales and develop an information pack for employers and employees in Wales.
- Pilot an induction workshop for midwives wanting to contribute to projects that support African partners to prepare and sustain a critical mass of experienced personnel.
